This past week, I watched a room full of people begin to feel like family.

From October 2–7, a group of new instructors joined our P.E.T.  Instructor Training Workshop in HKG. They came to learn how to guide parents to listen, be honest and resolve conflict where no one has to lose. By the end, they hadn’t just learned the principles — they had lived them with each other.

These skills matter. But what I’ll remember most is how this group showed up. They practiced on each other, gave honest feedback, laughed through the hard parts, and made space for everyone.

On the last night, their group chat filled up with messages like these:

“Let’s be part of each other’s journey. Support, encouragement and friendship will surely help us gain confidence.”

“This experience truly was as good as it was only because of everyone here.”

“Sometimes, when you are luckier, you meet the most awesome group of people. Thank you for making this journey even more colourful.”

That’s who these people are. This work is never meant to be done alone. These new instructors are leaving with more than certification —they’re leaving with a community that will keep them going.

I am so blessed to have learned alongside such kind and wonderful people!
